Thanks to Ian, I’m unbelievably busy designing my new landscaping and meeting with contractors to remodel my new home. Ian made all of this possible by literally saving the deal to sell our geodesic home in Paso Robles so I could relocate to Morgan Hill. Finding a lender for a geodesic dome was almost an insurmountable obstacle. The buyer’s agent gave up trying after an initial 20 turn downs. Ian, however, remained optimistic and took the process of finding a lender upon himself. He worked tirelessly 24/7 exploring every possibility until he was successful. Ian has great negotiation skills and communicated with the buyer’s agent but also the two agents involved in my purchasing a contingent property in Morgan Hill. After several disappointments with other real estate agents my wife and I contacted Ian Chandler at “Coldwell Banker’s Real Estate”. Ian inspected our 33 acre property, home and detached garage and suggested taking a video of the property to show the great views and potential. None of the other companies suggested this and I am convinced that this played a major role in getting our information out there.
We discussed an asking price based on the existing assets and it’s potential. Ian found a buyer, we began the process and Ian kept us informed and guided us through the process. He is a young and enthusiastic very professional agent and he gets our kudos for a job well done with an effort above and beyond all expectations. When I engaged Ian my home was in the middle of being remodeled and prepared for sale. The remodel was extensive, and there were MANY decisions to make regarding which improvements would actually increase the value of the home, and which ones would not really make a difference. The remodel was costly, and the budget was limited. It was extremely important for me to be sure that every dollar I spent would result in a good return. I would never have been able to sort through all that without Ian’s unflagging expert help. He always discussed things thoroughly, and never hesitated to consult with other agents at his office if he thought they could add perspective. When the time came to put the house on the market Ian handled everything very effectively, including determining the most advantageous timing of all of the milestones (when to show the house, when to start receiving offers, and when to accept an offer). As offers and counter-offers were going back and forth Ian provided excellent guidance on what to do at each point. In every case he not only advised me of the best course of action, but also explained in detail the reasoning behind it. He managed the entire sales process carefully and thoroughly, constantly stayed on top of things, and kept me informed of what was going on at every step. He was always ready to answer any question I had no matter how small (and I had a LOT of them!).
Ian is friendly, genuine, sincere, and completely trustworthy. He has a great deal of real estate knowledge and expertise together with a sincere desire to help people to the very best of his ability.
